Ask AI about Ofsted inspection data

Ask questions of the whole inspection dataset in plain English.

Ask AI is a conversational interface to the entire inspection dataset. Instead of filtering and reading reports one at a time, you ask a question the way you would ask a colleague, and the answer is drawn from across every cached report under the new framework.

What can you ask it?

The useful questions tend to be the ones that would otherwise require reading dozens of reports: what inspectors consistently praise in schools graded Strong for curriculum, how attendance is being written about in this sector, what separates a Needs attention judgement from an Expected one in practice, or what has changed in inspector language over the last term.

It also handles the specific and local — how schools in a particular region or of a particular size have fared, or what a given inspection category tends to hinge on.

How is this different from asking a general AI chatbot?

A general chatbot answers from whatever it absorbed during training, which for a framework introduced in November 2025 is thin, often out of date, and impossible to audit. Ask AI answers from the platform's own maintained corpus of inspection reports, refreshed as new reports are published.

That difference matters most where it is least visible: on questions where a general model will confidently describe the previous inspection framework, with its old grade labels, because that is what dominated its training data.

What data does it draw on?

Every inspection report cached by the platform under the November 2025 framework, across primary, secondary and special schools, together with the six category grades extracted from each. The corpus grows continuously as Ofsted publishes.

Frequently asked questions

Does Ask AI use my school's own data?

It answers from published Ofsted inspection reports. You can ask it to compare or contextualise against your school, but the evidence base it reasons over is the public inspection record, not private school data.

Is the answer sourced from real inspection reports?

Yes. Answers are grounded in the platform's maintained corpus of published inspection reports under the November 2025 framework, rather than a general model's training data, which substantially predates the framework.
